Course Description
In the world of Information Technology, software application development is one of the core competencies required for building the next generation of technologies. Software application developers are responsible for creating the functionality required for many useful applications from ATM machines, cell phones, car airbags, to the software in PDAs. In this course, the student learns the basics of programming, the similarities between several programming languages, communicating with the Oracle database using XML/XSLT, SQL, Java, Javascript, and preparation for the Oracle and Java Certifications. The following are certifications the student will be prepared to take:
- Java Certified Programmer
- Oracle 10g Certified SQL Expert

Achieve a 60% score on the SCN Basic Aptitude Test, and a 60% or more on the IT Assessment Test
